A down to earth community pub in the middle of the High Street, a few yards from Polegate station. A century ago it known as The Polegate Inn and was much frequented during the First World War by wounded ANZAC soldiers while convalescing at a nearby hospital. It was these Australians who declared the pub “fair dinkum”.
Open fires in the winter, rear garden and regular barbeques on the front patio in the afternoon. Food served Monday to Sunday including our famous Sunday roast.
