Duchess of Cambridge

A pub serving food in Windsor.

The Duchess of Cambridge officially opened on 21 June 2011 after an extensive refurbishment to ensure she was able to carry her Royal name with pride.

In fact The Duchess of Cambridge pub in Windsor is the only pub in the whole of the world which has the name of the newest member of the Royal family.

Seating almost 120 customers and offering fantastic food, from breakfast through lunch, on to afternoon tea and then dinner. Plus a drinks list to match every occasion, including fine wines and ales from our own Whole Hop Brewery in Hertford – The Duchess is the perfect pub for you to rest your Royal or not so Royal legs!

With the re-design and the work from the general manager, and his team on the floor and of course kitchen have put in, The Duchess of Cambridge is already becoming a firm favourite for those seeking a great pub in Windsor.

With The Duchess pub just across the road, or should we say cannonball shot away (!) from the Castle, it is a pub that will welcome you as a tourist to the town or as someone who lives and works within the lovely city of Windsor.

Becks 5.0 Becks

Every bottle of Becks is brewed according to the uncompromising German Reinheitsgebot (Purity law). With a strong and committed heritage, Becks has had only 6 brew masters throughout a 125 year history.

Tasting Notes: Our original Becks is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden colour and a full rich head. Adding to its complexity is a slightly fruity but firm crispness and a dry, clean finish.

Blue Moon 5.4 Coors Brewers Ltd

Blue Moon® Belgian White* was our first year-round release back in 1995. It started with our brewmaster, Keith Villa, wanting to craft a beer inspired by the flavorful Belgian

Tasting Notes: He brewed his interpretation using Valencia orange peel versus the traditional tart Curaçao orange peel, for a subtle sweetness, and added a touch of coriander to provide balance. Then he added oats and wheat to create a smooth, creamy finish that’s inviting to the palate. As a final touch, he garnished the beer with an orange slice to heighten the citrus aroma and taste. Its natural unfiltered appearance adds to the depth of flavors in Belgian White

Budvar Original 5.0 Budweiser Budvar

Budvar's best known beer, always worth a drink.

Tasting Notes: By far and away the best known beer in the Budvar portfolio ABV5 Original is available on draught and in two bottle sizes, 330ml and 500ml as well as in 500ml cans. Brewed from nothing but local natural materials in a 100 days brewing cycle ( 90 spent fermenting ) it is universally regarded as one of the world's great lager conditioned beers.

Foster's 3.7 Heineken

Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates.

Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.

Guinness Original 4.2 Guinness

Swirling clouds tumble as the storm begins to calm.

Tasting Notes: Unmistakeably GUINNESS®, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop. And every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between.

McMullen Country Bitter 4.3 McMullens - DO NOT USE

The Head Brewer has combined the finest East Anglian Ale malted barley with a subtle blend of Crystal Malt and Caramalt with McMullen’s own pure spring water.

Tasting Notes: The addition of whole leaf Fuggle, Bramling Cross and Golding Hops at different stages of the brewing process gives a golden bitter with hints of citrus and spicy berries for a well balanced beer.

McMullens 3.8 McMullen & Sons

This ale is inspired from over 180 years of brewing at The Whole Hop Brewery. Styrian Goldings added to English Fuggle hops achieve a refreshingly well-balanced combination.

Tasting Notes: The subtle biscuity flavour comes from pale ale and amber malts. Mixed with the citrus flavours of these hops, this creates a light and refreshing ale that all generations of ale drinkers will enjoy.

San Miguel 5.0 Carlsberg UK Ltd

San Miguel is brewed using a special mashing process which gives the beer a fuller and slightly sweeter flavour. The unique recipe and San Miguel yeast then come together to deliver a refreshing, full bodied beer with a great taste.

Tasting Notes: San Miguel is a pale blonde Spanish pilsner style lager, with a hoppy, citrus aroma, and hoppy zesty fruity flavours with a full flavoured hoppy lingering finish. San Miguel is well suited to tapas style food, cured meats, hams and cheeses

Tiger 4.2 Everards Brewery

A local favourite, Tiger is perfectly balanced thanks to carefully selected British hops and premium UK premium malt.

Tasting Notes: A local favourite, Tiger is perfectly balanced thanks to carefully selected British hops and premium UK premium malt. The Tiger is synonymous with Leicestershire after the Royal Leicestershire Regiment were nicknamed ‘The Tigers’ in 1825 following long service in India. It’s also the name of our local rugby club, the Leicester Tigers. This is their Official Beer as it is for many local teams and that’s why our Tiger is roaring!

Bulmers 4.5 Heineken

Bulmers Original Cider at 4.5% ABV offers a fantastic combination of softer culinary apples and sharper bittersweet apples, providing a cider rich in depth and character.

Tasting Notes: Well-balanced and medium-sweet
