Glamorgan Brewing Company

A brewery with Sky TV in Ynysmaerdy.

We are a family-owned brewery and drinks company from Glamorgan in Wales’ South West. In 1994 we embarked on a mission to get Wales drinking better beer and have been happily bubbling away ever since.

The role of a brewery goes beyond the liquid it produces and we are deeply committed to our local community as an employer, supplier and champion.

Glamorgan is a uniquely beautiful place, filled with wonderful people. We will bang the drum for all of it until the last drop is drunk.

After all... it’s where we’re from.

Cwrw Gorslas 4.0

A balanced amber bitter - named after the village in Carmarthenshire where we first brewed, this well-balanced cwrw (beer) manages to pack a punch whilst remaining thoroughly drinkable.

Tasting Notes: A traditional bitter with an accomplished balance and a spicy resinous hop aroma. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruit and toffee notes.

Dead Canary IPA 5.0

In Honour of the canaries who made the ultimate sacrifice we brewed this amber IPA. Using US hops and specialist malts, our liquid eulogy is a knockout.

Tasting Notes: Dry roast coffee and bitter piney hops with a topical fruit aroma.

Ffresh 4.5

This kegged pale ale gently fizzes with citrus, tropical and lime flavours. Originally crafted as a cask beer it offers the perfect introduction to lager drinkers looking for more variety on tap.

Tasting Notes: A well rounded, gently carbonated pale ale with citrus and exotic fruit notes, a hint of pine and a clean, hoppy bitter finish.

Jemima's Pitchfork 4.4

This SIBA award-winning refreshing brew is named after Welsh heroine Jemima Nicholas. At the 1797 Battle of Fishguard she rounded up and captured 12 drunk French soldiers, armed only with a pitch fork. A true Welsh original.

Tasting Notes: A crisp pale brew with chinook and eldorado hops producing brilliant undertones of citrus, pear and melon.

My Darlin' Lemontime 4.0

Inspired by the Italian community who settled in Wales in the 19th and 20th centuries, this drinkable ale brings citrus refreshment when the temperature gets Mediterranean!

Tasting Notes: Bright fruity hop aromas and a pithy lemon finish make this ultra pale ale refreshing and session able.

Old Reg 4.7

Brewery founder John Anstee’s dad Reginald was a larger than life character who worked with beer his entire life. He was passionate about quality real ale and the pubs & landlords that served it. They all used to call him Old Reg.

Tasting Notes: A traditional medium sweet bitter with notes of chocolate and a rich, woody aroma.

Santa's Little Belter 4.4

The long winter nights demand a beer you can stick with. Our winter brew turns heads but keeps you coming back for more . . . it’s a little belter.

Tasting Notes: A dark-ruby coloured brew with a rich, rounded maltiness that develops to a moderate in-tensity but never goes too far. This is sandwiched between overtones of ripe berries from the hops, and undertones of slightly roasted, almost burnt chocolate.

Scary Night 4.3

As adults we might be too old to go trick or treating, but that doesn’t mean spooky season is without it’s pleasures. Warm up cold October nights with this elegant dark brew.

Tasting Notes: Dark, rich and full bodied with caramelised sugar & coffee notes on the palette.

Terra Nova 4.5

This kegged pale ale gently fizzes with citrus, tropical and lime flavours. Originally crafted as a cask beer it offers the perfect introduction to lager drinkers looking for more variety on tap.

Tasting Notes: A well rounded, gently carbonated pale ale with citrus and exotic fruit notes, a hint of pine and a clean, hoppy bitter finish.

Thunderbird 4.5

Red Kites are a common visitor to the skies above the Glamorgan Brewing Co. The sight of this majestic bird soaring above storm-clouds inspired this SIBA award-winning IPA.

Tasting Notes: A light, hoppy bitterness balances against a deliciously malty backbone, with a touch of sweet fruit and citrus on the nose.

Try Time 4.0

When the game goes down to the wire, you need a pint at your side! A front row of best British hops flanked by a creative malt combination makes this a full bodied ale fit for champions and fans alike.

Tasting Notes: Rich & full bodied with a slight citrus aroma and a beguilingly subtle sweetness.

Welsh Cake Stout 4.8

An experiment by adding a mix of oats and raisins to a brew. The result is a rich, dark, and chewy stout with a slightly sweet vinous character, alongside the biscuity effect of oats and barley.

Tasting Notes: Rich & sweet with subtle notes of roasted malt & winter fruits.

Welsh Pale 4.5

This drinkable pale ale embodies all that’s best about Wales: it’s easy going, approachable and will keep you coming back.

Tasting Notes: A well-rounded pale ale with intense citrus, tropical and lime flavours. Hints of pine all finished with a clean, hoppy bitterness.

West Coast Red 4.8

This dark red ale is a celebration of the rich craft beer scene in America, with west coast hops at the heart of the brew.

Tasting Notes: A punchy citrus hop nose with a pronounced palate of grapefruit, pine and juicy berries.
