Greyhound Inn

A dog friendly pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Stoke On Trent.

Welcome to The Greyhound

The site the Greyhound sits on was originally built as a Yeoman's House in 1540. It became a Manorial Court House with its own cells in 1558. It was extended in 1704 to what you see today. It has been at different times, a private house, a butcher’s shop, a slaughterhouse, a hardware shop and oatcake shop!

Today, it is a much loved proper pub with real fires, quality home cooked food, great rotating cask ales, the largest selection of malts from around the world, not forgetting Penkhull Ginstitute!! It is at the centre for village life and the good folk of Penkhull.

Come along and see what all the fuss is about, you’ll be assured of a very warm welcome!

Drink % Brewery
61 Deep 3.6 Marstons

61 Deep. Newest brew on the Burton block. 61 metres. That’s the depth of the well at the Brewery that gives this refreshing pale ale its name.

Tasting Notes: The five American and Australian hops give it its fresh, zesty aroma, whilst the tropical fruit and citrus notes make it extremely drinkable. Dive in.

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

Landlord is Timothy Taylor’s iconic flagship beer – a revered, nationally recognised classic. Four-time CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer of Britain and the UK’s top-selling cask beer. Brewed with Golden Promise malt, whole-leaf Goldings, Fuggles, and Savinjski Goldings hops, and pure Knowle Spring water, Landlord is crafted with an unwavering commitment to quality.

Tasting Notes: A classic pale ale with an amber hue, it opens with a complex citrus and fruity aroma, delivering a full but smooth malt body with a touch of sweetness, followed by a lingering, gentle bitter hop finish that keeps it refreshing.
