A classic country ale from Dorset using a single hop variety for purity and character. First Gold are dwarf hops that grow in low hedgerows, more reminiscent of a vineyard, enabling a better quality harvest.

Tasting Notes: A clean, fresh, distinctive ale with hints of orange and spice from the hop, perfect with traditional English roasts and pies.

River Cottage and Hall & Woodhouse have been working together to brew a new organic handcrafted ale, which uses organic nettles hand-picked at River Cottage HQ, in Dorset. The result is River Cottage Stinger - a wonderful tongue tingling ale.

Tasting Notes: It has a grassy herbal aroma with subtle gooseberry and lemon citrus notes that build up towards the end of the glass. It is finished with a slightly spicy after taste that lingers beautifully.

Many years ago the Head Brewer, John Woodhouse – invited his team to sample his latest creation. On rising to go, his mischievous companion, believing a walk was imminent, tangled his owner up with the lead and Woodhouse fell upon the perfect name.

Applewood Cider 6.0

The West Country's rich soil provides fertile growing conditions for apples, and we use vintage varieties such as Dabinett and Redstreak from a single harvest to make this rustic, medium dry cider.

Tasting Notes: Its oaky, wood-infused notes are created by maturing the cider in oak vats - hence the name, Applewood - scrumptious to the core.
