We are the perfect place to come and have a hearty pub meal before continuing your exploration of this magical city. Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back. Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.

This seasonal ale is brewed with a blend of pale, amber, crystal and chocolate malts, giving a chestnut-red-hued colour and hints of malt and toffee, balanced by a pleasing hop bitterness. Tasting Notes:

An exquisitely, golden ale, named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn. Tasting Notes: Wainwright is a refreshing golden ale with subtle sweetness from the Maris Otter malts and the special mix of hops give a delicate citrus fruit overtone. Voted World’s Best Golden Ale at the World Beer Awards.
