Sitting in its beautiful, mellow Cotswold Hills landscape, Hook Norton is a proudly independent and passionate family business that takes the very best of its handcrafted brewing heritage and combines it with a thoroughly modern approach, to create a range of real ales for today’s drinkers to enjoy.

Hook Norton is one of only 32 family owned breweries and is the finest example of a Victorian Tower Brewery in the country. Of course, the brewery is about so much more than just its fantastic range of award winning beers. At the brewery we have a shop, Malthouse Kitchen Cafe, free museum and meeting rooms. We have 36 pubs that are at the heart of many of local communities, serving great drink and food to the region.

In 1849 we began brewing down here at Hook Norton Brewery so 170 years on we thought we’d brew a special limied edition beer to celebrate. We thought long and hard to come up with a suitable name but then common sense prevailed and well, the beer was ready to drink! Please enjoy 170. A robust trio of all English hops, delicate and smooth Goldings, spicy and fruity Challenger and floral Fuggles. Wise choice. 12 x 500ml bottles

Playing Hooky 4.7

A fruity blend of five malts, and hops delivering a refreshing sweet fruitness, balanced with biscuit. Pale, Crystal and wheat malts combined with Cascade, Fuggles, Chinnok and Mosaic hops.

Red Rye 4.7

Red in colour and so beautifully fruity by nature, you’d be forgiven for thinking this is one of your five a day. It’s not…..but it should be! Five hops and five malts combine to produce a symphony of fruitiness. A rich red beer, fruity notes of dark fruit with a citrus twist. A crisp bitterness, balanced with a sweet, full mouthfeel. Voted the World’s Best Rye Beer 2018.
