In 1849 we began brewing down here at Hook Norton Brewery so 170 years on we thought we’d brew a special limied edition beer to celebrate. We thought long and hard to come up with a suitable name but then common sense prevailed and well, the beer was ready to drink! Please enjoy 170. A robust trio of all English hops, delicate and smooth Goldings, spicy and fruity Challenger and floral Fuggles. Wise choice. 12 x 500ml bottles

This shouldn't work but we think it does. India Pale Ale heady hoppy fruit flavours combine with the darkness of stout. But can you really have a Pale Black Ale?

A blend of malts gives Double Stout a character all of its own. Black malt enriches the colour and teases the palate with an unmistakable ‘toast’ flavour. Brown malt gives it the dryness.
