The beer is brewed using 4 hops all grown by Simon Parker at Instone Court in Bishops Frome, Herefordshire. The hops are Admiral, Ernest, Opus and Emperor.
Tasting Notes: The mixture of hops gives the following flavours: Admiral = orange, Ernest = Lemon/Citrus, Opus = Fruit/Floral, Emperor = Citrus
A very special brew from a small patch of hops (only 10 plants in Herefordshire) grown in Weston Baggard
Tasting Notes:
Green Hop beer is made using hops fresh from the bine. The location of our brewery allows us to collect hops direct from the farms and get them into our beer within an hour or two of being picked. This creates a fresh tasting beer, showcasing one particular hop at a time.
Tasting Notes: Herefordshire Hops Pale Ale showcases a variety of Herefordshire Hops (Olicana, Harlequin, Jester, CF247 & Godiva) all developed and released by Charles Faram, the Malvern based Hop Merchant. This 4.2% pale ale is jam packed with Citrus and Tropical Fruit all from right here in Herefordshire!
This brew is using UK grown Hersbrucker hop. Grown in Western Beggard this German hop is growing well in Herefordshire. We have used Extra Pale Marris Otter Barley and Premium Pilsner malt, fermented at a low 16 degrees with a US Pale Ale yeast to deliver a clean and crisp hybrid ale and allowing the Hersbrucker to show off it noble hop aromas.
HMS Ledbury (4.0%) is a golden bitter first brewed for the crew of the mine hunter and oldest active ship in the British Royal Navy – HMS Ledbury. It only uses hops grown by James Hawkins from Dormington, Herefordshire (First Gold and CF185),
Tasting Notes: A simple yet solid golden ale with some herb, fruit and floral flavours.
Pale Ale brewed with a combination of US and English hops but predominantly using hops grown locally in Herefordshire. Originally grown in the late 1950s 'Ernest' gives this beer lemon and apricot flavours
Tasting Notes: The Ernest hop in this beer provides lemon and apricot flavours
Ledbury Gold (4.0%) is made using two local Herefordshire hops (First Gold and Fuggles). It is a Golden Bitter and is the best selling beer at the brewery.
Tasting Notes: It is a golden bitter with a malt and hop combination that ensures it is well balanced with a honey and fruit finish.
Combines new local aroma hops with some US hops. Hopped 3 times during the boil and then again in the fermentation tank it provides this beer with alot of depth and of course the aroma you expect from a Pale Ale.
