This Wetherspoon pub is the former Myrtle cinema It was built in 1921, on the site of the ancient Hoyle Croft - a grass-covered square overlooked by the backs of houses in Chapel Lane and Main St. It re-opened as a Wetherspoons on 13th Sept 2000.
