Orbit Beers

Our multi-award-winning Dead Wax is our take on a classic London Porter. Based on the late nineteenth-century interpretation of the style. A beer to fit tightly within our ethos at Orbit Beers, paying homage to European brewing heritage and traditions. Named after the runoff area on vinyl records.

Tasting Notes: Complex rich malt, with aromas of chocolate, coffee, caramel and malty biscuit. More chocolate, coffee and black treacle on the palate. Rich full body, robust bitterness and a subtle earthy/lemony hop character combine to create a distinctively dry and drinkable dark ruby coloured beer.

Orbit's English IPA is brewed using modern UK hops: Jester, UK Chinook & Emperor. Originally brewed in keg in the spring of 2022, the team have developed the recipe further and decided the style would work especially well in cask due to its fruity character and long, lingering bitterness.

Tasting Notes: The English IPA (5.2%) offers strong hop flavours from a blend of three English varieties (Emperor, Jester, and UK Chinook) that give softer stone-fruit flavours on the nose and palate than the more traditional UK hops. Enjoy notes of tangerine and pine with a long, moreish bitterness and aromas of freshly cut grass with hints of blackcurrant and strawberries and cream.

Mix of European and American hops give character to a light-bodied pale ale. Ivo showcases a unique blend of hops with a refreshingly moreish, bitter finish. Named for the founder of one of our favourite Independent record labels – 4AD. A man who’s name also inspired the opening track (Ivo) from 4AD band Cocteau Twins’ third album - Treasure. Ivo Watts-Russell. Best enjoyed fresh.

Tasting Notes: A sessionable pale ale with the addition of Simcoe, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops. Tropical fruit notes of guava, peach, and a hit of pine, with light citrus on the nose and palate. Intensely hoppy, with added oats for a smooth mouthfeel and a dry, bold bitterness to finish.

Beechwood smoked malt meets a double Altbier. Strong, rich and full bodied.

Orbit's multi-award-winning, flagship Köln Lager is named for Christa Päffgen under her singing alias ‘Nico’. It’s eminently drinkable and lightly carbonated, making it the perfect beer to enjoy with food.

Tasting Notes: This easy-drinking lager pours a warm golden straw colour, showcasing fragrant herbal hop aromas with lemon citrus and green apple notes. It is light on the palate, with a touch of bready maltiness, an assertive hop character and a crisp, bitter finish. Look for the pear drop notes from the distinctive Kölsch yeast.

This light and effervescent Belgian Wit offers soft citrus flavours from the dried orange peel and Motueka hops. There is a moreish malt sweetness alongside captivating aromas of clove and banana from the Belgian yeast and coriander seeds. A soft mouthfeel, light body, and fluffy white head make this wheat beer really easy-drinking.

Tasting Notes: Brewed to showcase the complexity of Belgian yeasts with banana, clove, & spicy black pepper notes. Citrus & lime from NZ hop Motueka.

Victorian stout. Complex chocolate and coffee notes give way to a dry finish. Unfined.

Inspired by head brewer Paul's double summer holiday to Brussels, Belgium & Symi, Greece, where the combination of moreish Belgian sours and delicious mezze under the Grecian sun sparked a brilliant idea. This award-winning Berliner Weisse-influenced kettle sour emulates the flavours of the classic Greek yoghurt dip. A clean, vibrant & zingy summer refresher.

Tasting Notes: Straw yellow colour, hazy white foamy head, with aromas of cucumber, mint, and lemon & lime citrus with a light malt character. Creamy smooth mouthfeel, with a mildly tart lactic sourness. Light, dry finish with mellow bitterness and soft to medium carbonation.
