Paper Mill

A child friendly pub serving food in Hemel Hempstead.

Built on the site of the John Dickenson Paper Mill, our pub stands on a historically significant site. The walls are adorned with photos and drawings of the mills and their heritage, and we are also the central focus for the annual Apsley Residents Fun Day, which always draws huge crowds in September.

Discovery 3.9 Fuller's Brewery

Discovery is the first new year-round beer launched by Fuller’s since the 1980s. It was a response to the increasing popularity of lighter golden ales, Discovery boasts the perfect combination of flavour and refreshment.

Tasting Notes: This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment. Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.

ESB 5.5 Fuller's Brewery

Our extra-special Bitter

Tasting Notes: Rich mahogany in colour, ESB tempts with aromas of orange marmalade, balanced by soft malt toffee. The hops impart grassy, peppery notes alongside hints of citrus fruit – while the Pale Ale and Crystal malts bring distinctive biscuity flavours. A smooth, delicate bitterness lingers on the palate to give a supreme finish.

London Pride 4.1 Fuller's Brewery

In recent years its popularity has grown to the extent that it is now Britain’s leading premium ale: a welcome fixture in many pubs and off licences around the country, and now winning new friends abroad.

Tasting Notes: Rich, smooth and elegant on the palate, it draws to a clean, satisfying finish with beautifully balanced bitterness.
