The clue is in the name. A rich deep golden strong ale. The name is derived from the days when sailors from Merseyside would demand full rations.

Tasting Notes: The high level of alcohol is complemented by increased bitterness and the fruity hop finish is derived from a combination of Fuggles, First Gold and Cascade hops.

Knee Buckler IPA 5.2

Knee Buckler is a wonderfully golden IPA style beer.

Tasting Notes: At 5.2% there is good strength and lots of initial hop bitterness which is matched with a little hint of sweetness from the use of Crystal and Caramalts, The aftertaste and aroma comes from a blend of American hops, Citra, Cascade and Columbus which gives a distinct fruity finish.

A well balanced, dry-hopped, golden ale. Initial bitterness from Elderado hops and a citrus finish from Columbus and Cascade. The distinct dry-hop aroma leads to a crisp dry finish.

A moreish amber ale with a good malt backbone and a hint of bitterness from Cascase, Columbus and East Kent Goldings hops

Full bodied black stout. The use of oats gives a good mouthfeel and dark malts provide lots of backbone with toffee and caramel tones. Elements of sweetness to balance the bitterness from the roast malts. This is a very easy drinking stout.

Hoppy Red Ale

Storr 4.8

Storr’ is a pale and hoppy cask pilsner. Using specialist lager yeast and brewing vessels, Storr undergoes a slow fermentation process, followed by a month of cold conditioning to allow the clean, crisp flavours to develop.

Tasting Notes: Though Continental in style, Storr gains its fresh citrus hop finish and pleasant malt backbone solely from the use of UK-grown lager malt & Sovereign hedgerow hops.

Tectonic 6.2

Tectonic is a deep honey coloured ale bursting with hop aroma and flavour. This is achieved by 'dry-hopping' the beer with a blend of Amarillo, Chinook and Galaxy hops.
