Rose & Crown

A child friendly pub serving food in Bridgwater.

The Rose and Crown is a family run pub, and is very much the social centre of the village, where locals, visitors and families can enjoy a quiet drink or meal, in good company. We have a longstanding reputation for the quality of our real ales, which has been acknowledged by our ‘Cask Marque’ award.

Originally built as a coaching inn during the 16th Century, the Rose and Crown has been offering hospitality to both travellers and locals for over 400 years – a tradition that we are proud to continue. We are located in the centre of Nether Stowey, which lies on the A39 between Bridgwater and Minehead, at the foot of the beautiful Quantock Hills in Somerset, some five miles south of the Bristol Channel. The village is a popular base for walking and biking holidays, and for tourists exploring nearby attractions such as Exmoor and Cheddar Gorge. We are also situated at the start of the Coleridge Way long distance path, with Coleridge Cottage (the home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge) just up the road.
