The St George's Tavern takes centre stage in the history of entertainment as the 'Godfather of the music hall, Charles Morton, transformed us from a restaurant to a saloon to put on entertainment. In 1840 we were converted so the wealthy could enjoy their night out with the various acts who did a 'turn'. We were one of the first venues in London to provide such entertainment.

The St George's Tavern is one of many rare gems in the Nicholson's collection of great British pubs, reputed for their distinctive buildings, intriguing history and vibrant atmosphere.
