The Barrels is Wye Valley Brewery’s flagship pub, and was the brewery’s home for many years. A down-to-earth drinking establishment – and 18th Century coaching inn – it’s one of the last multi-roomed pubs in town. It attracts an eclectic clientele who come for the lively, friendly atmosphere and, of course, the excellent beer.

‘Butty Bach’ is Welsh term meaning ‘little friend’. This full-bodied, smooth and satisfying premium ale is burnished gold in colour, and certainly has made a few friends in its time Tasting Notes: We brew it using Maris Otter and Crystal malts, flaked barley, malted wheat, and locally grown Fuggles, Goldings and Bramling Cross hops. With such fine ingredients, no wonder it remains a firm favourite among our followers.
	Hopfather	3.9	Wye Valley Brewery Ltd
Mosaic, Summit, Cascade, Pioneer and Azacca hops join forces to Hopfather some seriously hoppy clout. Tasting Notes: This session IPA also boasts a new vibrant gold colour together with subtle malt overtones, zesty fruit flavours and a refreshingly crisp finish. Hats off to a top brew!
	HPA	4.0	Wye Valley Brewery Ltd
HPA is an easy-going real ale that brings people together. Our brewers have let locally grown Target and Celeia hops hang out with Maris Otter pale malt to give this understated brew its pale straw colour, citrus hop aroma and a balanced bitter finish. Tasting Notes: HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It’s smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Locally grown Target and Celeia hops play an important part in making this such a distinctive beer. With Maris Otter pale malt and malted wheat also being used, this is very much a pale ale with all the right ingredients.
	Pyoneer	3.4	Wye Valley Brewery Ltd
An outstanding cask-conditioned amber ale with a full malty flavour. The name celebrates the pioneering role this beer has played in our range, and is a nod to the village of Canon Pyon in Herefordshire, where this session ale was first brewed. Tasting Notes: Brewed using Maris Otter and Crystal malts together with locally grown Target and Goldings hops, Pyoneer has a delicate hoppy aroma leading on to a full malty flavour and ending in a crisp, clean bitter finish.
	Wholesome Stout	4.6	Wye Valley Brewery Ltd
A dark and thoughtful brew that lets its rich coffee notes, intense roasted barley flavours and dry, bitter finish Tasting Notes: Wholesome Stout is a dark, full-bodied number; a wonderful stout with intense roasted barley flavours and a dry, bitter finish. It boasts roasted coffee notes and plenty of hop flavour. As well as the awards listed below, it’s only the second beer to gain top beer writer Roger Protz’s five-star rating.
