The Bingley Arms

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and a garden in Bardsey.

OPEN FOR FOOD ON ALL BANK HOLIDAY MONDAYS!

Welcome to The Bingley Arms Pub

Located in the beautiful village of Bardsey, The Bingley Arms is no ordinary pub. It’s the original English pub - officially the oldest in Britain - dating back over 1000 years to a time when Vikings were conquering parts of the country and before England had its first King.

Set in a tranquil position away from busy roads and near a trickling stream, the magnificent building must be seen close up. From a fine, original Dutch oven in the lounge to the old priest holes hidden in the chimney, every room is full of history and magical stories.

The Bingley Arms pub is in easy reach from all the major attractions of Leeds and York such as Harewood House, York Minster and the National Railway Museum, making it a perfect place to stop for a drink of real ale or to eat rustic, Yorkshire food in the splendid restaurant.

We pride ourselves on quality food, sourced locally by our chef. The Bingley Arms is a former winner of the Yorkshire Evening Post Restaurant of the Year Award and has a wide variety of dishes on the menu. A selection of fine wines from countries around the world, including Australia, Argentina and France make wonderful accompaniments.

Enjoy a drink at your table or step outside into our spectacular beer garden for a day to remember.

We cater for large parties for wedding breakfasts, birthdays, christenings and much more, contact us now to find out about our function room on 01937 572462

Drink % Brewery
Heineken Zero 0 Heineken

A refreshing alcohol free beer, characterised by fruity and fresh malt notes and light bodied. At just 69 calories this is a great refreshing drink for all.

Tasting Notes:

Neck Oil 4.3 Beavertown Brewery

Our all day, everyday, session drinking IPA. A blend of 7 American & Austrian hops, pineapple and orange citrus aroma, Passion fruit & grapefruit flavour with a refreshing, dry, crisp finish.

Tasting Notes:

Cruzcampo 4.4 Heineken

Cruzcampo is a pilsner style Spanish lager founded in Seville in 1904. Brewed with subtle hoppy notes, fruity characteristics and finished with Cruzcampo bitterness. It’s a fresh, crisp, easy drinking beer and a favourite amongst Spanish locals which is probably why it’s one of the best-selling beers across Spain.

Tasting Notes:

Birra Moretti 4.6 Heineken

The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends

Coors 4.0 Coors Brewers Ltd

The Coldest of the Cold!

Tasting Notes:

Carling 4.0 Coors Brewers Ltd

The masterful blend that balances depth of flavour with the thirst quenching refreshment of the UK’s no.1 lager

Tasting Notes:

Guinness Draught 4.2 Guinness

One of the world's best-loved beers, with sweet smelling aromas of coffee and malt, from the first velvety sip to the last, lingering drop, every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between is pure beauty… pure Guinness.

Tasting Notes: Unmistakeably GUINNESS®, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop and every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between.

John Smiths Extra Smooth 3.6 John Smith's Brewery

John Smith’s Extra Smooth was launched in 1993 and is now the nation's number 1 ale.

Tasting Notes: The boffins say it has a distinct cereal character, with malty, caramel notes being complemented by some fruitiness. But we just think it’s a right good pint.

White Rat 4.0 Ossett Brewery

Hoppy Pale Ale

Tasting Notes: This very pale, hoppy ale is made from low colour malt. A combination of Cascade, Columbus & Amarillo hops produce an intensely aromatic and resinous finish.

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma

Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.

Yorkshire Blonde 3.9 Ossett Brewery

Fruity Pale Ale

Tasting Notes: This beer pays homage to our stunning Yorkshire heartland, the inspiration behind everything we brew. This pale ale is full-bodied, well-rounded and slightly sweet on the palate. A generous addition of Mount Hood hops late in the boil result in a delicate fruity aroma.

Inch's 4.5 Heineken

Inch's believe that cider making is about all the little things, that finishing touch of care or that extra moment of attention. Not going that extra mile, but going that extra Inch. Because when you add up all the little things you create a better tasting cider.
