The Bull's Head

A pub serving food in Guildford.

The Bulls Head is a traditional 16th Century English village pub situated in the Surrey hills area of outstanding natural beauty, offering homemade food and famously tasty pies!

The interior of the pub still retains some of its original features with oak beams and low ceilings as well as a cosy log fire to keep you warm during the colder months. There is a lovely beer garden to the rear....perfect for warm, sunny days and a spacious dining area adjoining the bar from which to enjoy our home cooked food.

An ideal stopping point for those who wish to explore the Surrey countryside with the National Trust site of Clandon Park on the doorstep.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Shere Drop 4.2 Surrey Hills Brewery Ltd

Best Bitter

Tasting Notes: The flagship beer is pale in colour with a subtle hint of grapefruit and lemon in the aroma. The wonderful hop bitterness is complemented by a balanced malt flavour.

TEA 4.2 Hogs Back Brewery

Their top selling, award-winning, best bitter brewed for over 25 years. Light amber in colour, TEA is refreshing, hoppy and well-balanced. Surely the best drink of the day!

Tasting Notes: An enticing amber colour with a hoppy and slightly fruity aroma.

Young’s Bitter 3.7 Young & Co.'s Brewery PLC

Young’s Bitter shares the heritage of 175 years of brewing expertise. Today Young’s Bitter one of the fastest growing standard cask beers in England and Wales.

Tasting Notes: A refreshing ale, golden in colour, with a light, dry palate, a fresh, fruity aroma and a long, satisfying bitter finish.

Tribute 4.2 St Austell Brewery

Tribute is an easy drinking pale ale.

Tasting Notes: Fresh, Orange, Grapefruit The zesty orange and grapefruit flavours are balanced with biscuit malt. The beer of South West sport, Tribute has high profile shirt sponsorships with Somerset and Gloucester CCCs as well as close relationships with both Football League clubs Plymouth and Exeter City. Tribute is also the Official Beer of South West Rugby and supports many rugby teams in the region with shirt sponsorships, plus it is the main sponsor of the Cornwall RFU whose teams are the current County Champions and holders of the Bill Beaumont Cup. We were also thrilled in 2015 for Tribute to be the main sponsor of Bristol Balloon Fiesta and in 2016 Tribute will again be a high profile partner of this wonderful event. All told, there is plenty to look forward to for Tribute in the coming year.

Foster's 3.7 Heineken

Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates.

Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.

John Smiths Extra Smooth 3.6 John Smith's Brewery

John Smith’s Extra Smooth was launched in 1993 and is now the nation's number 1 ale.

Tasting Notes: The boffins say it has a distinct cereal character, with malty, caramel notes being complemented by some fruitiness. But we just think it’s a right good pint.

Kronenbourg 1664 5.0 Heineken

Kronenbourg 1664's pleasure is in its light lemon and herbal flavours from the Alsace hops, and clean bittersweet finish.

Tasting Notes: This exceptional beer originated in Alsace in Eastern France and is brewed with the exclusive Strisselspalt hop, known as the caviar of hops, which gives it its unique aromatic and fruity flavour.

Guinness Surger 4.2 Guinness

As deep as Guinness Original’s colour is its taste. Crisp barley cuts through hops. A bite draws you in, bold flavours linger. Bitter marries sweet. A rich, refreshing taste. Brewed with skill. Built to last.

Tasting Notes: Aroma: Medium and balanced. A roast character with subtle fermentation fruitiness Flavour: A perfect rounded flavour of bitter and sweet Palate: Smooth with a slight bite leading to a dry finish Appearance: Distinctively black full bodied liquid with a rich creamy head

Strongbow 4.5 Heineken

Strongbow gets its distinctive flavour and cut-through refreshment through the unique blends of bittersweet British cider apples from our Herefordshire orchards.

Tasting Notes: The cider is made from a blend of bittersweet cider and culinary apples making it a well-rounded, balanced cider with a good mix of fresh apples and cidery flavour
