The Catherine Wheel (TCW) is an 18th-century award-winning ale house located 2 minutes walk from the Thames Path in the picturesque village of Goring-on-Thames. Previous winners of the Turnaround Pub of the Year for London and the south east in 2014 and Best Thames Local Pub Restaurant 2015, TCW is again back to winning form, as Brakspear Business Builder Pub for 2018 and 2020 & 2021 Community Pub award. People have been drinking here for around 350 years and we keep that as a priority, but also know that fresh produce and good food should not be exclusive to gastro-pubs and our seasonal menu reflects this.
Whether you are a regular customer or visitor to our beautiful village, you can be assured of a warm welcome at TCW.
TCW is the oldest pub in Goring and the heart of the village.
Food served daily, pizzas only on Tuesday & Sunday evenings.
Bar & food service closing times may be subject to change.
