The Clarence

A child friendly pub serving food with WiFi in Mayfair.

Located in the bustle of Piccadilly, a short walk from Green Park tube, The Clarence in Mayfair offers a welcoming retreat in the heart of London with its fine hospitality, great ale selection and hearty food and drink menu.

Named after the Duke of Clarence, who later became King William IV, its location of Dover Street was where Sir Alexander Bell's first successful telephone call was made. Dover Street also boasts famous residents including the 18th century poet Alexander Pope, Buckingham Palace architect John Nash and French composer Frederic Chopin and has been a favourite with locals ever since.

Enjoy an extended ale selection available with the drinks and back bar with not only more guest ales available, but also increased keg offer with UK craft beer and cider. Learn more about the ales available from our friendly staff, informative guest ale menus, or feel free to peruse the Beer Library at leisure, which includes books, artifacts and the possibility to purchase engraved tankards.

The Clarence pays homage to the Nicholson's heritage. Our founder William Nicholson was a gin distiller and in homage, the pub has a concise selection of specially created gin and fizz long drinks menu to accompany its extensive range of great wines from its cellar from the best of the old and new world to award winning British wines.

Providing British pub classics served with a modern twist, enjoy a relaxed, quality dining experience in the comfort of the upstairs dining room, and don't forget to ask our helpful staff for beer and wine recommendations with your menu choices.
