The Crooked Horn's origins go back to the mid- eighteenth century and the name derives from the fact that the lady who owned the property long ago leased the land around to the local sheep farmers. By way of rent, she would take her dues in stocks of sheep: and had a habit of choosing the rams with crooked horns. When the property eventually became licensed the name 'The Crooked Horn Inn' was bestowed upon it. Later the inn was known as 'The Gosvenor Arms' but then reverted back to its current name. Why not come down and have a drink in the our good ol' fashioned pub!
