The David Macbeth Moir

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi and a garden in Musselburgh.

The David Macbeth Moir opened its doors on the 14th February 2012. Named after David Macbeth Moir, a Scottish physician and writer, the pub was previously a bingo hall and before that, a cinema. This has inspired the interior decor, which has hints of Rennie Macintosh and our toilets have been awarded platinum status by the local council

Tasting Notes:

Fraoch Heather Ale 5 Williams Bros. Brewing Co

The Original Craft Beer; brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C

Tasting Notes: A light amber ale with floral-peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish - This beer allows you to literally pour 4000 years of Scottish history into a glass.

Sharp's Doom Bar Amber Ale 4.0 Sharp's Brewery Ltd

Doom Bar is a perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours, Doom Bar is both satisfying and deliciously moreish.

Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” Stuart Howe, Head Brewer.
