The Gillygate Accommodation & Public House has been open since the 19th Century. In 2014 proprietors Brian and Suzanne Fury decided it was time for a renovation and invested into making the pub into a community hub.

Now, beautifully appointed, the pub offers four rooms: a main bar, an old-fashioned tap room, a front room and a whisky snug fashioned from what was previously a gents’ toilet. Perhaps the biggest change is the former car park round the back has been turned into a fantastic beer garden with a BBQ and outdoor pizza oven, providing plenty of space for groups and events to meet and mingle.

The pub now also boasts 9 en-suite letting rooms which are all lovingly decorated and flooded with natural light making them light and airy whilst maintaining the character of the old building.

You can expect a warm welcome on arrival to the pub from the friendly team with a comfortably relaxed atmosphere which will make you feel you have just stepped into your home away from home!
