The Good Intent is a popular pub and prides its self on being one of the few remaining pubs that's still a pub... Focused on providing the best kept real ale in the area, locally sourced good home cooked traditional pub fare with awesome desserts and a warm welcome.

Situated on the north downs way, our beautiful pub is popular with very friendly locals and is both child-friendly and dog-friendly. It is also very popular with the many visitors that travel to the area to visit local landmarks and enjoy many of the fine walks, bike rides and green lane off-roading and shooting in the Surrey hills countryside.

The Good Intent dates back well before 1861 (circa 1700's) and its name is linked with Oliver Cromwell. Featuring a stunning inglenook fire place (with its own smoke room and hide away seats to escape the highway men), wood beams throughout making our pub a really nice cosy place to eat, drink or just hang out with your friends and family. We have board games (scrabble, battleship and shut the box to name a few) also playing cards and a well lit darts board and even colouring books for the younger kids.

	Adnams Southwold Bitter	3.4	Adnams
Southwold Bitter is a beautiful copper-coloured beer, late and dry-hopped with Fuggles for a distinctive, lingering hoppiness. Brewed with the finest East Anglian Pale Ale malt barley, sourced locally to the brewery. We use Fuggles hops which we add late in the boil to preserve the herbal flavours of this traditional English hop. We add more Fuggles to each cask so that the flavour of the hops infuses into the beer. It’s a perfect 3.7% abv in cask and 4.1% abv in bottle and can. Our most famous and popular brand - it makes up over 90% of our total brewing capacity. Winner of the Champion Best Bitter of Britain title at CAMRA's Great British Beers Festival in 2005 and 2006. First brewed as recently as 1955. Tasting Notes: A superbly balanced session bitter with a prominent hop character.
