Chris Sweeting would like to welcome you to the Gordon Arms.

Chris took over the pub in March 2011 and have continued running it as a friendly community pub with a warm atmosphere and its colonial style, serving freshly prepared homemade bistro style food and fantastic coffee.

Sitting adjacent to the main bar and restaurant area is a self contained and fully licensed entertainment venue "The Ent Shed" which is available for hire catering for up to 120 people seven days a week. The Ent Shed is an ideal venue for private parties, weddings, fund raising and corporate events, live music and more.

There is a comedy night every second Thursday of the month, which is proving to be a great success with many nights sold out in advance. The Ent shed also hosts live music with local and international bands performing regularly.

In addition to the inside space there is an enclosed patio garden, a sunken garden and additional seating area along the pubs frontage.

As well as the friendly welcoming atmosphere gained by a great team, we offer 5 well kept real ales including 4 Wells and Youngs ales and a weekly guest ale. We also offer a great selection of wines from around the world.We currently hold a 5 star food hygiene rating and are a Cask marque recognised venue.

So come on down - be it for a glass of wine, pints of beer, dinner or pop in for a speciality coffee or for one of the many events. We look forward to seeing you.

Carlsberg 3.8 Carlsberg UK Ltd

Carlsberg is a Pilsner style lager originating from Copenhagen, Denmark. Carlsberg is light, easy drinking and refreshing. The all malt recipe and Carlsberg yeast strain gives the balance between body and depth of flavour and a clean refreshing palate.

Tasting Notes: Carlsberg is a pale blonde Danish pilsner style lager, with a flowery subtle aroma, and hoppy fruity flavours with a soft lingering finish.
Courage Directors Bitter 4.8 The Eagle Brewery

This premium cask ale has a strong following throughout the country. Courage Directors was originally brewed exclusively for the Directors of the Alton brewery, but following public demand, the beer was made available to the public.

Tasting Notes: It is genuine premium beer, pale brown in appearance with a deep rich taste.
Eagle IPA 3.6 The Eagle Brewery

Made from natural mineral water from our own well, this ale has been a firm favourite around Bedford over two centuries.

Tasting Notes: 
Foster's 3.7 Heineken

Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates.

Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.
Young's Bitter 3.7 The Eagle Brewery

With 175 years of history, this bitter was the first cask beer to carry the Red Tractor logo – proving we use the highest quality barley.
