The High Cross

A child friendly pub serving food with WiFi in Leicester.

This Wetherspoon pub takes its name from the High Cross, which stood outside this pub.

At the point where Highcross Street meets High Street, outside this pub, some granite sets are laid into the road in the shape of a cross. This marks the site of the High Cross, the center of medieval Leicester. The cross was actually the last remaining pillar of the old Market House.
