The Kings Head

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi and a garden in Bishop’s Castle.

This popular South Shropshire pub is Grade 2 listed and located in the centre of the delightful town of Bishop’s Castle, a small market town.

The town is a thriving market town that has a strong agricultural community as well as becoming known for its alternative community including artists, musicians, writers and craftspeople.

The Pub features two bars, the locals bar and the saloon bar, that are full of character and a secluded suntrap of a courtyard to the rear.

If you are coming in for a drink, you will find a proper pub serving a great selection of local ales and the atmosphere of a popular pub that we all love.

If you are looking for something to eat you will not be disappointed. With a strong food offer here you will find food that is familiar, with prices that will please and an attention to detail and flavour that is not often found when serving real pub food.

Butty Bach 4.5 Wye Valley Brewery Ltd

‘Butty Bach’ is Welsh term meaning ‘little friend’. This full-bodied, smooth and satisfying premium ale is burnished gold in colour, and certainly has made a few friends in its time

Tasting Notes: We brew it using Maris Otter and Crystal malts, flaked barley, malted wheat, and locally grown Fuggles, Goldings and Bramling Cross hops. With such fine ingredients, no wonder it remains a firm favourite among our followers.

Station Bitter 3.9 Stonehouse Brewery

A traditional, amber coloured bitter. Full bodied, very drinkable session beer with a perfect balance of fruity hops and roasted malt.
