The Lord of the Isles

A child friendly pub serving food with WiFi in Renfrew.

This Lloyds No.1 bar is named after two well-known paddle steamers (both of the same name), built by The Glasgow and Inveraray Steamboat Company, when it operated a popular service to the Kyles of Bute, in the late 19th century. The first Lord of the Isles boat was built in 1877 and was replaced by the second steamer in 1891, well known on the river for many years. Finally, the second steamer was broken up in 1928.

Drink % Brewery
Abbot Ale 5.0 Greene King PLC

Full flavoured, smooth and mature taste with fruit cake characters , a malty richness and superb hop balance.

Tasting Notes: Mahogany in colour and brewed for longer to create a rich malty, and mature flavour.

Brains SA 4.2 S.A Brain & Co Ltd

With the origins of its name shrouded in mystery, Brains SA has become an essential part of every Welsh celebration since it was first brewed in 1958. It has a fruity nose, a rich malty flavour and a satisfying spirit-like finish.

Tasting Notes: Our renowned bitter is copper coloured and has a nutty richness derived from Pale and Crystal malts and three hops; Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles.

Exmoor Gold 4.5 Exmoor Ales Ltd

In the world of beer the eyes have it when it comes to ordering ale, something that Exmoor completely understand back in 1986 when they produced the first modern Golden Ale, Exmoor Gold.

Tasting Notes: In the glass, Exmoor Gold is an appetising and enticing gold in colour. The nose is an interplay between a fresh bouquet of grassy and floral hop and a subtly soft, fluffy caramel-tinged maltiness. The palate sees more balance between gentle grainy maltiness and sprightly floral, citrusy fresh hop fruitiness
