Now a free house following its sale in late 2012 by previous owners Punch Taverns. One guest beer will be changing now that the pub is free of tie, with a potential expansion to four pumps. This one-bar pub serves mainly locals and passing trade. Originally dating from 1756 and located further along by the river Lea, it was moved to its current site in 1800.
