The Oak

A pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Aylesbury.

The Oak Aston Clinton is a traditional English village pub set in picturesque countryside at the base of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire located between the towns of Aylesbury and Tring. The large garden is perfect for families and functions during the summer months, and we can erect marquees and cater for special events all year round. Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing drink, an informal lunchtime bar snack, evening dinner or a night out for that special occasion, Patrick and the team are looking forward to giving you a warm welcome! An old thatched pub full of old world charm, including old beams and a large inglenook fireplace. It's large garden makes it an ideal place to bring the family in the summer. The bar offers a selection of the finest Fuller's beers, clean and crisp, with a regular guest ale and of course the staple favorites you would expect from a good local.

Carling 4.1 Carling

Carling has been Britain’s best selling lager for more than three decades. It is brewed to have the perfect balance of sweetness & bitterness ensuring it is as brilliantly refreshing from the first sip to the last.

Tasting Notes: Carling has been skilfully brewed using lightly kilned British malts, aromatic hops and Carling's unique yeast to create a malty, sweet flavour, balanced with a hoppy ''clean flavoured'' bitterness and the aroma of freshly harvested grain.

Discovery 3.9 Fuller's Brewery

Discovery is the first new year-round beer launched by Fuller’s since the 1980s. It was a response to the increasing popularity of lighter golden ales, Discovery boasts the perfect combination of flavour and refreshment.

Tasting Notes: This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment. Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.

ESB 5.5 Fuller's Brewery

Our extra-special Bitter

Tasting Notes: Rich mahogany in colour, ESB tempts with aromas of orange marmalade, balanced by soft malt toffee. The hops impart grassy, peppery notes alongside hints of citrus fruit – while the Pale Ale and Crystal malts bring distinctive biscuity flavours. A smooth, delicate bitterness lingers on the palate to give a supreme finish.

Foster's 3.7 Heineken

Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates.

Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.

London Pride 4.1 Fuller's Brewery

In recent years its popularity has grown to the extent that it is now Britain’s leading premium ale: a welcome fixture in many pubs and off licences around the country, and now winning new friends abroad.

Tasting Notes: Rich, smooth and elegant on the palate, it draws to a clean, satisfying finish with beautifully balanced bitterness.

Seafarers 3.6 Fuller's Brewery

Light refreshing English bitter

Tasting Notes: Faintly fruity on the nose, this light amber beer sails a steady course through well-developed malt character towards a satisfying, hoppy finish. The Gales yeast brings out soft fruit flavours, while the hops impart a zesty, spicy quality to the brew.
