Set in beautiful countryside just a few minutes’ walk from the River Thames, the award-winning Plowden Arms is a delightfully traditional country pub.
The pub specialises in all things old fashioned and British. On the menu you'll find inspiration from dishes and ingredients from cookery books dating back as far as the C13th. On the bar you'll find traditional ales, a carefully considered wine list and a monthly changing drink also reminiscent of bygone eras, such as dandelion and burdock or gin fizz.
The building itself was first a pub in the 1700's and features original beams, a real log fire, traditional hops and Victorian portraiture. Facilities include a cosy bar area, restaurant, function space and a large, sunny garden.
