The Queens Head has been a pub for hundreds of years and is named after Anne of Cleves who was the fourth wife of King Henry VIII. She was given land in the area as part of her ‘divorce’ settlement from the King and so this pub is dedicated to her.
It is nestled in the lovely, picturesque village of West Chiltington just outside the South Downs National Boundary. Ideal for a hearty meal and a swift pint after a long walk. Our aim is to offer an escape from the everyday, whatever that might look like for you. The local pub should be a huge part of village life, so whatever the occasion we will do our very best to offer you a warm welcome here at The Queens Head and have you leaving determined not to wait too long before visiting us again.
