Wells Bombardier is an iconic real beer loaded with distinct English brilliance. The rich, full-bodied nectar is a lingering reward for the ol' tonsils. Tasting Notes:
	Dark Mild	3.4	Highgate Brewery - CLOSED
The beer on which the reputation of Highgate Brewery was built, and first produced in 1899. Tasting Notes: This traditional dark mild is brewed using pale, crystal and black malts supplemented with high maltose syrup. Bitterness is provided using a blend of Progress, Fuggle and Golding hops grown locally. Tasting notes: This winner of three gold medals at international level has a complex palate with chocolate, liquorice, roast malt and fruit notes all discernible. A perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness is evident and makes for a satisfying, yet more-ish beer.

Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back. Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
