The Sir John Borlase Warren

A dog friendly pub serving food in Nottingham.

We believe in ‘proper pubs’ - you know when you’ve entered a proper pub. It’s a sense, not a blueprint and it differs from location to location because it reflects both the needs of its regulars and the personality of its owner.

We’re always welcoming - whether you’ve just popped in for a visit while passing through or you’re a regular each week, we’ll make you feel welcome and at home, always having time for a friendly chat. Children and dogs are welcome, because they’re part of the family.

We’re proud to serve real ale - that’s what we do. Real Ale has soul, character and personality and it’ll always be the headline of our range of drinks. We also offer real cider, wines and spirits. We stock lager, but not the mainstream brands. With up to ten continually changing real ales & ciders, our cellar recently competed and became the regional winner in the Publican Morning Advertiser's Best Cellar category (East Anglia and East Midlands), in the Great British Pub Awards.

So why not pop in and enjoy some light refreshment, or come and put your feet up and relax at the end of a busy day's shopping! With probably the best sun terrace and garden in town and a beautiful shabby-chic interior, you will love exploring this stunning building and enjoying the views across the City.

A heroic. premium best bitter packed with premium Maris Otter malt and choice hops.

Tasting Notes: It's a good old fashioned, Great British Bitter - malty flavours balanced by hop bitterness; it's a satisfying pint!
