The Stags Head is a double award-winning, family-friendly gastro-pub in the heart of the village of Goosnargh, near Preston, Lancashire.
We pride ourselves on using the best locally sourced ingredients to provide excellent meals at a reasonable price in beautiful surroundings.

We have the benefit of a large beautiful garden where you can enjoy a drink and a meal in the sun, and the little ones can play on our large outdoor play area, bouncy castle & football pitch.

Whether you are dining with family or friends or just popping in for a drink a warm welcome awaits from the team. We hope to see you soon.

Cruzcampo is a pilsner style Spanish lager founded in Seville in 1904. Brewed with subtle hoppy notes, fruity characteristics and finished with Cruzcampo bitterness. It’s a fresh, crisp, easy drinking beer and a favourite amongst Spanish locals. Tasting Notes:

Our classic, golden Amstel Beer, with its very distinctive and mildly bitter taste, has over the years become well known beyond the borders of its native country. Tasting Notes:
	Red Stripe	4.7	Desnoes & Geddes
A big beer for suitably big nights. Made for the pub, this is amber lager with low butterscotch flavour, full body and a smooth post-palate finish. Tasting Notes:
	Birra Moretti	4.6	Heineken
The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note. Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends

John Smith’s Extra Smooth was launched in 1993 and is now the nation's number 1 ale. Tasting Notes: The boffins say it has a distinct cereal character, with malty, caramel notes being complemented by some fruitiness. But we just think it’s a right good pint.

Unicorn is an award winning ale, including Gold Medal Winner at the Brewing Industry International Awards, which has been brewed for over 120 years, with over 4,600,000 pints consumed per year. The popularity of Unicorn is timeless. Tasting Notes: Unicorn is a magnificent pale tart, thirst quenching ale with superb mouth feel of rich malt, hops and complex aromas of Golding hops, malt and tart fruit. It has a long dry finish with citrus fruit notes.
	Best Bitter	3.8	Black Sheep Brewery Plc
The original stalwart of the Black Sheep range. First brewed in 1992, Best Bitter is the iconic Yorkshire Bitter devised and created to offer beer with real flavour and bite. A different breed Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole flower English hops, Best Bitter packs a genuine spiky bitterness with big character. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggle hops blend to create a beautiful aroma and flavour with kicks of grassy freshness and a big peppery punch. The Maris Otter malt offers a light sweetness that balances against those big bitter characters.

An exquisitely, golden ale, named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn. Tasting Notes: Wainwright is a refreshing golden ale with subtle sweetness from the Maris Otter malts and the special mix of hops give a delicate citrus fruit overtone. Voted World’s Best Golden Ale at the World Beer Awards.
