The Striperstones Inn

A pub serving food in Snailbeach.

Lara & Phil would like to welcome you to The Stiperstones Inn, where we offer refreshments, food and accommodation in the heart of the South Shropshire Hills. The Inn is in a great location for walking the Stiperstones ridge, the Long Mynd and surrounding countryside, or for just chilling out in beautiful surroundings with a good book.

Open everyday from 11:30am, the Inn is a traditional free-house which has been in our family for over 45 years, and has a public bar, lounge bar, beer garden, two dining rooms and two beautifully comfortable en-suite letting bedrooms. Function space is available for small parties (we can also offer conference facilities and equipment on a day and half day basis).

We offer morning coffee, afternoon tea, and real ale. Between 12:00pm and 9:00pm we serve a full menu with over 30 main courses, including: vegetarian, vegan, gluten and dairy free options in either of our two dining rooms or by one of the roaring log fires in the lounge and bar areas.

Shropshire Lad 4.5 Wood Brewery - CLOSED

First brewed in 1996 to celebrate the centenary of the first publication of a Shropshire Lad by A. E. Housman, this 4.5% premium bitter was an instant hit.

Tasting Notes: Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts combine to give a sweetish draught followed by a subtle bitterness and fruity overtones from the infusion of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops from the neighbouring hop fields of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Town Crier 4.5 Hobsons Brewery & Co Ltd

Town Crier is a full-flavoured golden ale with a big voice.

Tasting Notes: The elegant straw coloured bitter has a hint of sweetness which is complemented by subtle hop flavours leading to a dry finish. The nose of crisp fruit is apparent with a refreshing balance of taste, a bitter which is supremely consistent and full of flavour.

Worthington Creamflow 3.6 Coors Brewers Ltd

A bright, chestnut-coloured beer.

Tasting Notes: It pours with a luxurious creamy swirl created by the thousands of tiny bubbles that set it apart from the rest of the Worthington’s ales family.

Magners Cider 4.5 Magners GB Limited

A blend of seventeen varieties of fresh apples to create the unique taste of Magners Irish Cider.

Tasting Notes: Magners Irish Cider has a crisp, refreshing flavour and a natural authentic character.
