The Wellington Hotel

A bar in St Just.

The Wellington Hotel is an imposing granite building that was built before the Battle of Waterloo. It was converted into a hotel in 1813 and named after the The Iron Duke

(Arthur Wellesley; 1769-1852) after he allegedly stayed here but has been sympathetically renovated over the years which continues to this day . The Wellingtons main building and converted stables has been extensively modernised in recent years and now boasts eleven en suite rooms, and a holiday cottage.

The bar is popular with tourists and locals alike and is at the center of this small, friendly
Cornish town. St Just has all the amenities as well as being just 2 miles to Land’s End Airport (Scilly Isles). It is perfectly possible to enjoy a stay at St Just without a car as the local beauty spots of Carn Bosavern, Carn Gloose, Cape Cornwall (the only cape in England), and Cot Valley are all within walking distance. Just a little further afield is Land’s End, Penzance, The Minack Theatre, and Sennen Cove and Porthcurno’s beautiful, white sandy beaches. It doesn’t end there... There is always something to do in this beautiful part of Cornwall. We can be the perfect base for you to explore. Contact us today to find out what we can offer you .
