Tasting Notes: 

A deep amber Best Bitter with smooth biscuit malts and a hoppy nose. Brewed exclusively with locally grown Bullion hops.

Wantsum’s Flagship bitter first brewed in 2009. This Best Bitter combines four types of malts to give depth of body, with English and American hops for a pronounced hop finish.

HPA is an easy-going real ale that brings people together. Our brewers have let locally grown Target and Celeia hops hang out with Maris Otter pale malt to give this understated brew its pale straw colour, citrus hop aroma and a balanced bitter finish.

Tasting Notes: HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It’s smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Locally grown Target and Celeia hops play an important part in making this such a distinctive beer. With Maris Otter pale malt and malted wheat also being used, this is very much a pale ale with all the right ingredients.

Light Hoppy Session Bitter – Named after Sir Thomas More whose decapitated head is believed to have been stolen by his sister and hidden in the Roper family vault in St Dunstan’s Church”. Tribute is an easy drinking pale ale.

Tasting Notes: Fresh, Orange, Grapefruit The zesty orange and grapefruit flavours are balanced with biscuit malt. The beer of South West sport, Tribute has high profile shirt sponsorships with Somerset and Gloucester CCCs as well as close relationships with both Football League clubs Plymouth and Exeter City. Tribute is also the Official Beer of South West Rugby and supports many rugby teams in the region with shirt sponsorships, plus it is the main sponsor of the Cornwall RFU whose teams are the current County Champions and holders of the Bill Beaumont Cup. We were also thrilled in 2015 for Tribute to be the main sponsor of Bristol Balloon Fiesta and in 2016 Tribute will again be a high profile partner of this wonderful event. All told, there is plenty to look forward to for Tribute in the coming year.

This beer is a multiple award winning beer both in cask and bottle having won Hampshire Beer of the Year 5 times.

Tasting Notes: The use of Cascade hops gives this golden ale light citrus fruit flavours, and a delicate bitterness.

A rich, deep and broad malt base gives this stout a very long smooth finish. Hops are prominent on the nose with blackcurrant, liquorice and cedar.

Adapted from an imperial Russian porter recipe, this beer is incredibly smooth with burnt chocolate and smoky malt notes mixed with delicate hop bitterness and floral notes.

A chestnut, tawny red Premium Ale. Brewed with Roasted Malts and English Fuggles Hops, to give a smoky, spicy hoppiness on the nose, leading to a molasses, nutty palate with a light fruity hop dryness.

Clean crisp golden ale

Bunny Hop has been expertly brewed to deliver a clean, dry mouthfeel with no compromise on hop aroma and a full, hoppy flavour profile.

Tasting Notes: Bunny Hop has a pronounced bitterness, similar to a pilsner and aromas of fresh grass, pine and grapefruit, thanks to the generous use of Chinook, and a dash of El Dorado offering apricot and peach notes.

Pure UBU (pronounced ‘OO-BOO’) is named after our faithful canine friend ‘UBU’, a maverick, brim full of character and the unofficial protector of our secrets.

Brewed Exclusively for the Beer Club Members, this beer used an experimental hop from Yakima Chief Hops, the hop gives characteristics of Vanilla, Wood Oak Bourbon, Tropical Fruits, Floral, Piney, Lime & Coconut. It’s a very interesting hops and gives this beer a very complex and unique flavour.

A ‘new world’ pale ale, it is full bodied, citrusy in taste with notes of apricot and grapefruit.
