Founded in Keighley, West Yorkshire in 1858, Timothy Taylor’s is one of Britain’s most respected independent, family-owned breweries and a proud champion of cask ale. Still brewing at Knowle Spring Brewery, where Timothy Taylor moved in 1863, the brewery remains true to its Yorkshire roots and long-held belief that great beer takes time, care and the finest ingredients. More than 165 years on, Timothy Taylor’s continues to set the gold standard for authentic cask beer.

Blonde 3.8

Timothy Taylor's Blonde is our refreshing blonde beer, built around the purity of the very spring on which the brewery stands. Brewed with Golden Promise barley malt, Strisselspalt hops from Alsace, and UK-grown Cascade and Chinook hops.

Tasting Notes: It’s an easy-drinking beer with floral and citrus aromas, hints of orange zest on the tongue followed by aromatic hop flavours to finish.

Boltmaker is a dependable, characterful Yorkshire bitter with an inviting copper-amber colour and gentle citrus and fruit aromas.

Tasting Notes: The flavour is smooth and rounded, led by biscuit-like malt notes and a clean, balanced bitterness.

Brown Bess 5.5

A rich and mellow dark ale, well-hopped using traditional and modern English-grown varieties. Specially brewed for the Bradford Beer Festival and the Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival 2020.

Coming Home 3.5

A 3.5% ABV well-hopped and delicious deep amber ale with 100% English hops. Brewed specially for the LWC Cask Club and to celebrate and cheer on England through UEFA Euro 2020.

Cook Lane 5.8

The brewers wanted to create a best in class modern IPA using aromatic English grown Cascade and Chinook hops. This gives the beer a less harsh and more gentle flavour profile than many of the extreme, hoppy IPAs currently flooding the market.

Crimson Comet 4.5

Crimson Comet is a 4.5% ABV rich Red Ale with spices and a twist of citrus hops.

Tasting Notes: An aroma of Orange, Cinnamon and Cloves. The spices follow through to the palate and are complimented by flavours of Dark Sugar and Burnt Toffee.

Dark Mild 3.4

Dark Mild is a smooth, ruby-red beer with a comforting aroma of caramel, roasted malt and coffee. It’s low in bitterness and delivers a mellow, rounded flavour that makes it exceptionally drinkable.

Tasting Notes: Expect notes of toffee, nuts and soft roast on the palate, all carried by a creamy, satisfying body.

Golden Best 3.4

Golden Best is our session-friendly mild. An amber coloured beer with subtle soft-fruit notes and delicate hop character that give it a smooth, mellow flavour.

Tasting Notes: The clean malt profile is the best expression of Golden Promise barley and keeps the beer balanced and refreshing.

Granite City Hopper 5.2

A fruity and hoppy IPA brewed with Cascade, Chinook and Jester hops in the copper and Hop Back. Then dry-hopped with Solero and Nectaron hops.

Havercake 4.7

Havercake is back for 2021 and this year we are raising money for The Captain Tom Foundation. With 10p from every pint of Havercake sold, we are helping support causes that were close to his heart and remain dear to his family - combating loneliness and championing education and equality. Captain Tom was born and raised in Keighley, like us, and was himself a Havercake Lad - joining the Duke of Wellington's Regiment in May 1940. This robust Yorkshire ale has been created using a mixture of amber malt and two types of oat malt. This delivers a full-bodied, moreish ale with a creamy head and slight sweetness. Fuggles and Goldings are in the hop mix, which adds to the overall taste. A traditional English hopped style beer.

Tasting Notes: An amber bronze ale, with a scent of orange, malts and light fruits with a full-bodied, oaty, zesty taste.

Hopical Storm 4.0

Hopical Storm is a modern, triple-hopped session IPA that brings a tropical twist to Timothy Taylor’s tradition. At 4%, this beer combines UK-grown hops in three stages (in the copper, hop back, and dry hop) to deliver a fragrant aroma of mango, passion fruit and lychee.

Tasting Notes: On the palate, it offers juicy flavours of mandarin, melon and lime over a light, sandy-gold malt base – crisp and effortlessly drinkable.

Hopical Storm 4.0

Hopical Storm is a 4% ABV modern style dry-hopped Pale Ale using hops grown entirely in the UK.

Tasting Notes: Citrusy and sessionable, it has a pleasant fruity body topped with flavours of mandarin, mango and passion fruit.

All combining with natural Knowle Spring water, fine barley malts and our unique Taylor’s Taste yeast to create the tropical storm of flavour and aroma.

Created in collaboration with HEINEKEN UK, Timothy Taylor’s, and Charles Faram. 20p from every pint sold will be donated to Marmalade Trust, who are a leading loneliness charity for all ages and the only charity in the world specifically dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness. A small charity with a big mission – and the momentum is growing.

Tasting Notes: Marmalade Best is a limited edition mild ale, evoking all of the soft, fruity citrus flavours and aromas of orange marmalade, with a trademark Timothy Taylor’s malty finish.

Two of the North’s most celebrated breweries, Timothy Taylor's and Northern Monk, have collaborated for the first time to launch a 4.4% stout, Northern Rising. The culmination of more than a year’s worth of work between the two award-winning breweries, Northern Rising will be released in cask and keg within Northern Monk’s and Timothy Taylor’s own venues, and in pubs across the UK, plus 440ml nitro stout cans in supermarkets and online.

Refreshing, balanced and full of flavour. Dive into Timothy Taylor's brand new 4% session IPA; Pure Drop. Brewed with Cascade, Chinook and Whitbread Goldings hops in the copper, Cascade, Chinook and Jester hops at the hop back stage, then dry hopping with Jester, Ernest, Cascade and Chinook hops. All combining with natural Knowle Spring water drawn from our own artesian well, fine barley malts, and our unique Taylor’s Taste yeast to create Pure Drop Session IPA.

A dark, strong beer that has a reputation as a ‘Winter Warmer’. Wholesome and satisfying, this mellow beer has body and depth, leaving a pleasant fruity afterglow. A perfect dark mild for session drinking.
