Drink %
Arthur's Ale 4.4

A pale brown beer combining the character of both a best bitter and a golden ale.

Tasting Notes: Marmalade citrus hop on the nose leads to a powerful citrus fruit and hop bitterness in the mouth but with a distinct malt balance. Malt fades in the finish, with persistent fruity bitterness and rising dryness.

Black Knight 3.8

A Cornish Mild, successfully trialed in May 2011 and now available in May every year and as a Special at other times - always worth asking for.

Tasting Notes:

Castle Gold 3.8

A golden, light and hoppy session beer. 4.2 % ABV is very popular in the West Country where it is the summer drink of choice for discerning real ale enthusiasts, while 3.8% suits the London market.

Tasting Notes: Light, hoppy

Cornwall's Pride 4.0

Full bodied malt flavours, light citrus tones and a rich amber colour, mark Cornwall’s Pride as a refreshing quaffing beer inspired by Tintagel itself – the home of King Arthur.

Tasting Notes: Full bodies, malty, citrus

Harbour Special 4.8

A dark amber hue and an initial malty flavour with a citrus after taste. The 4.8% ABV Special brew has proved very popular and is now a regular feature of Tintagel Brewery's suite of real ales.

Tasting Notes: Malty, citrus

I.P.A 5.8

Latest addition in 2013, a 5.8% IPA, a tasty strong Mild, a little darker than the usual but very popular.

Tasting Notes:

Merlin's Muddle 5.2

With a good balance between Hops and Malt, Muddle is a refreshing strong amber bitter.

Tasting Notes: Hoppy, malty, refreshing

Poldark Ale 4.5

Just like the man himself, dark and lively Poldark Ale is softly fruity with a slightly bitter background and a robust hoppy aroma.

Tasting Notes: Fruity, bitter, hoppy
