For dinner with a side of exceptional views, head to The White Hart in Ufton – its prime position atop a hill, surrounded by beautiful countryside, means guests are treated to one of the best vistas the county has to offer. Settle down in front of the roaring fire during the winter, or take a seat outside in the spacious beer garden and spend a summer’s evening admiring the scenery.

Whenever you visit, you’ll no doubt be in need of some sustenance and refreshment, and the team here will be more than happy to oblige. Those simply after a drink can pop to the bar and ask one of the friendly bar staff for a well-kept real ale, beer or lager, or perhaps a fine wine from the extensive list. Hungry patrons, meanwhile, will fi nd plenty to tempt them on the diverse menu. Visit for a sandwich at lunchtime – perhaps a BLT or grilled sausage and fried onion – or indulge in an evening meal, starting with the likes of sesame-crusted goat’s cheese with Oriental salad and honey and lime dressing. Follow with leek and Stilton tart with rocket and walnut salad and new potatoes or Asian-spiced duck with wilted pak choi and mango
and pineapple salsa. Finish with a scrumptious homemade dessert, and be sure to take in that stunning
view one more time before heading home.
