Butty Bach 4.5

‘Butty Bach’ is Welsh term meaning ‘little friend’. This full-bodied, smooth and satisfying premium ale is burnished gold in colour, and certainly has made a few friends in its time

Tasting Notes: We brew it using Maris Otter and Crystal malts, flaked barley, malted wheat, and locally grown Fuggles, Goldings and Bramling Cross hops. With such fine ingredients, no wonder it remains a firm favourite among our followers.

Country Ale 6.0

The brewers know what makes a superb, strong bottle-conditioned beer, so insisted they use the best Maris Otter pale malt and local Fuggles and Bramling Cross hops for this full-bodied ruby ale.

Tasting Notes: With rich malt flavours, and notes of molasses and raisins, it’s a fantastic match for flavoursome cheese.

Golden Ale 4.2

Two of Herefordshire’s finest hop varieties, Goldings and Fuggles, were selected alongside Maris Otter pale malt for this Golden Ale and it truly is a winning combination.

Tasting Notes: This Golden Ale is a crisp and zesty beer that tastes great on its own or enjoyed with chicken dishes, salads and pasta.

Hereford Pale Ale - HPA 4.0

A delightful straw-coloured ale with a wonderful citrus hop aroma. Truly distinctive.

Tasting Notes: HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It’s smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Locally grown Target and Celeia hops play an important part in making this such a distinctive beer. With Maris Otter pale malt and malted wheat also being used, this is very much a pale ale with all the right ingredients.

Nightjar 4.6

A delightfully dark British stout with rich coffee notes, intense roasted barley flavours and a dry, bitter finish. Chilled to 4°C, and with a deliciously creamy texture, it's superbly smooth and beautifully refreshing.

Tasting Notes:

The Hopfather 3.9

The newest edition to our core range, a pint of The Hopfather is an offer you just can’t refuse

Tasting Notes: Brewed using Herefordshire Jester, Centennial and Goldings hops – this smooth red ale features delicious tropical citrus and grapefruit flavours.

Wholesome Stout 4.6

A dark and indulgent beer boasting roasted coffee notes and plenty of hop flavour.

Tasting Notes: Wholesome Stout is a dark, full-bodied number; a wonderful stout with intense roasted barley flavours and a dry, bitter finish. It boasts roasted coffee notes and plenty of hop flavour. As well as the awards listed below, it’s only the second beer to gain top beer writer Roger Protz’s five-star rating.

Wye Valley Bitter 3.7

A cornerstone of our range of real ales, this chestnut-coloured wonder is a mouthwatering example of a cask-conditioned bitter.

Tasting Notes: Brewed using Maris Otter and Crystal malts together with locally grown Target and Goldings hops, Wye Valley Bitter has a delicate hoppy aroma leading on to a full malty flavour and ending in a crisp, clean bitter finish.
