The bar of The Pengwern is open every evening and weekend lunchtimes serving a selection of drinks including beers from the Purple Moose Brewery and other breweries. We have been awarded the Cask Marque which is a mark of quality awarded by independent assessors to pubs serving good cask beers i.e. correct temperature, appearance, aroma and taste.

A refreshing pale ale brewed using Casade hops with the added indulgence of elderflower.

Seithenyn 4.2 Cwrw Llyn Brewery

A refreshing golden beer, with a continental character and delicious flavours

Tasting Notes: Seithenyn was the keeper of the sluice gates in the fertile netherlands of Cantre’r Gwaelod between Llyn and Ceredigion. He was also a drunkard and got very merry at the king’s daughter’s wedding one day. He neglected the sea-defences, a storm came in from the west and Cantre’r Gwaelod was drowned, creating Bae Ceredigion.
