A Sevenoaks village pub built in 1792 has been given a £25,000 refurbishment, part of a £3 million investment in its pub estate by brewer Shepherd Neame.
The Bucks Head, in Godden Green, now has more space to relax, more intimate areas to chat, a feature fireplace and a coffee machine, making it a perfect place for informal business meetings and social gatherings.
Licensee Helen Paraskevas said: “The refurbishment has really transformed the bar. Leather sofas and armchairs create a relaxed seating area around our new feature fireplace, where customers can sit and enjoy a drink.”
Opening up a former function room, which was barely used, has created a large and busy bar area and timber stud partitions break up the space, creating cosy niches for small groups.
The Bucks Head, set opposite a village green, has a large beer garden and ample parking space and serves traditional home-cooked food in its bar and restaurant.
