According to the records, with the exception of the church, pub and some ancient farms Rolvenden Streyte was burned down during the Great Plague. Therefore we can assume the Star Pub dates back to these times! We are actually an end of terrace two-storey, plus basement, period building with beer garden – so there must have been some modernisation along the way.
We are central to the village on the high street A28, which connects Tenterden with the coastal town of Hastings to the south. The area surrounding the village is rural in character the major town of Ashford is approximately 16 miles to the north.
