Adam & Eve

A pub serving food with WiFi and a garden in Norwich.

Rita and her staff welcome you to the Adam and Eve Norwich's oldest alehouse.

We know people have been quenching here for at least 750 years. A saxon well still exists beneath the lower bar floor.

But enough about water! As an alehouse, the pub is first recorded in 1249, when it was being used by workmen building the cathedral. Labour seems to have been cheap. They were paid in bread and ale!

Why not come along and find out about the rest of the pub history - there is a great deal - and create some of your own in the process!!!

Adnams Southwold Bitter 3.7 Adnams

Southwold Bitter is a beautiful copper-coloured beer, late and dry-hopped with Fuggles for a distinctive, lingering hoppiness. Brewed with the finest East Anglian Pale Ale malt barley, sourced locally to the brewery. We use Fuggles hops which we add late in the boil to preserve the herbal flavours of this traditional English hop. We add more Fuggles to each cask so that the flavour of the hops infuses into the beer. It’s a perfect 3.7% abv in cask and 4.1% abv in bottle and can.
