Originally brewed in the 2010 NZ Hops series as Maori Dark Mild, it proved so popular it replaced our longstanding core beer, Mild at Heart.
Tasting Notes: It’s a traditional Dark Mild, with hints of chocolate and caramel, but with a twist from the NZ grown Pacific Jade and Pacifica hops.
Golden ale has been brewed with large quantities of German hops to impart gorgeous aromas of tropical fruit and honey-toned, hoppy and refreshing flavour.
Tasting Notes:
California is an extremely clean drinking golden coloured ale with a zesty and fruity aroma. Brewed with gently-kilned malts and an aromatic blend of American hops, this 3.8% beer has exceptional poise.
Tasting Notes: Its distinct hop flavour leads to a refreshing and dry finish.
A generously hopped, golden ale with fruity/slightly floral aroma.
An extra pale ale, brewed almost exclusively with Lager malt and American, Chinook, Cascade and Centennial hops providing wonderful citrus and floral notes.
Tasting Notes: Citrus, floral
Named after the incredible hop Citra that delivers a massive tropical fruit salad of aromas.

A full flavoured dark beer with subtle chocolate aromas from roasted chocolate malts, enhanced with the flavours from natural cocoa and mandarin peel to give a hint of orange. Lightly hopped with East Kent Goldings and Fuggles.

A classic dark and rich porter that bursts with roasted malt flavours, hopped with the traditional English variety, East Kent Goldings and American Galena.
A light chestnut coloured best bitter, with an unusual flavour twist from New Zealand grown Sticklebract and Nelson Sauvin aroma hops.
Golden/copper coloured traditional bitter, full flavoured and well rounded with some residual sweetness.
Dark, rich classic porter with roasted malt flavours; handsomely black with a creamy white head and smoky aromas with an intense blend of bitter roasted malts.

Yellow gold ale with big assertive lemon Sherbet hops; juicy with just a pinch of sourness. Brewed to commemorate the centenary of the Pretoria pit disaster that cost 344 local lives.

Traditional best bitter with a peppery hop ripe vine fruit and malt flavour.
Tasting Notes: Fruity, malty
A pale golden coloured beer with a slightly sweet aroma. Crisp, clear, predominantly hoppy with a lemon and fruit edge and a slight hint of freshly cut grass.
Tasting Notes: Sweet, lemon, fruity
A true cask lager brewed with Lager malt and Hallertau Hersbrucker, Styrian Goldings and Challenger hops fermented out with bottom fermenting lager yeast.
Straw coloured and seriously hoppy.
Light coloured beer made from Maris Otter and Lager malts, with Brewers Gold hops providing a well balanced bitterness complemented with the lemon and citrus aromas for the use of Pioneer as the late aroma hop.
Tasting Notes: Lemon, citrus
Low colour Maris Otter malt provides the light colour and dryness to enhance the crispness and full aroma of the subtle fruit and spicy hop characteristics.
Tasting Notes: Fruity, spicy
Dark coloured and strong, made with dark roasted barley malts to give a good mouth feel, but well balanced with the astringency of East Kent Goldings and Challenger hops.
It is a honey toned, refreshing, hoppy, golden ale with gorgeous aromas of tropical fruit and grapefruit sharpness offset by hints of melon and pineapple; the result of large quantities of German, Brewers Gold hops.

A blonde ale, low gravity, very pale; easy drinking
Tasting Notes: Brewed with Maris Otter Pale malt, a bit of wheat; with loads of fruity hop flavours from a medley of traditional and modern hops; Fuggles, Styrian Goldings and Bramling Cross among others. But it is the addition of the wonderful Citra hop that really brings this beer to the fore. Not as bitter as our other pale beers.
Fruity American pale ale. single hopped with Mosaic. Rich in complex aromas of mango, lychee, citrus, blueberry, pineapple, grapefruit, lime and stone fruits, it really is a massive tropical fruit salad.
Tasting Notes: Brewed with Maris Otter Pale Ale malt and a touch of light Cara, Patchcroft has sack loads (Hops) of personality.

Originally named Napoleon’s Retreat after Mike Harding’s (the ‘Rochdale Cowboy’) poem but renamed in 2015 this chestnut ale is brewed in the traditional NW style.
Tasting Notes: It is an easy drinking full flavoured bitter, but well-rounded with some residual sweetness, with tastes of fruit and vanilla balanced with a resinous hop character. A very popular beer that deserves to be savoured!
