Amber Ales Amber Pale 4.4

Amber pale is made with Maris Otter pale malt with a touch of crystal, and triple-hopped exclusively with Goldings sourced from Herefordshire.

Tasting Notes:

Amber Ales Barnes Wallis 4.1

Named after Ripley's local hero, who lived near the brewery tap, Barnes Wallis is a best selling session ale.

Tasting Notes: Styled as an easy-drinking IPA-style bitter, copper-coloured for a full malt flavour and hopped with Northern Brewer and spicy Syrian Goldings.

Amber Ales Chocolate Orange Stout 4.0

Created for a non real-ale drinking landlady by tweaking a Stout, adding yet more chocolate malt and Curacao orange peel to the boil.

Tasting Notes: With added vanilla pods during fermentation and yet more orange is added into each cask, followed by a long slow maturation. A traditional with a twist!

Amber Ales Dambuster 5.2

Spring seasonal available around the time of the 617 squadron Dambusting dams raid in May. Ever-popular well hopped golden ale

Tasting Notes: Hoppy

Amber Ales Derbyshire Gold 4.0

Derbyshre Gold is a well hopped golden ale, with lots of flavour from the high-alpha Nugget & Galena hops, and a good cara-malt base.

Tasting Notes: Hoppy

Amber Ales Imperial IPA 6.5

SIBA Midlands Strong Ales 2008 - Silver medal

Tasting Notes: A real-ale drinker's nirvana, this traditional IPA has a substantial malty base with a big hop profile, taking its cue from the traditional Burton world-beater and also from the hoppy US craft beers, triple hopped using a unique blend of four different hop profiles. Combination of Nugget, Syrian Goldings, Cascade and Goldings.

Amber Ales Original Stout 4.0

A much-lauded 'Original' is a self-styled traditional stout. Made with a complex blend of five malts.

Tasting Notes: Full-flavoured, yet smooth and easy drinking base and bittered with a blend of Saaz, Fuggle and Styrian Goldings for a subtle hop aroma.

Amber Ales Revolution 4.5

Spicy golden ale with a touch of rye, featuring the classic "3 C's" hops: Cascade, Columbus & Centennial for a citrus-packed flavour explosion.

Tasting Notes: Spicy, citrus

Amber Ales Samuel Slatter 4.2

Sam Slater is a quadruple hopped American-style Amber Ale, with lots of flavour from the high-alpha Nugget & Cascade hops, the cara-malt base and an imported American Ale yeast.

Tasting Notes:

Amber Ales Summer Block 4.5

This chestnut-coloured summer ale, was inspired by the European dark lager-style ales and made in the Amber way of blending tradition with the contemporary.

Tasting Notes: It has a clean tasting Munich malt base and low hop aroma making it decidedly moreish and easy to drink.

Amber Ales Winter Ruby 5.1

Winter Ruby is a rich, ruby ale perfect for sipping next to the fireside when the winter nights draw in.

Tasting Notes: The biscuit tasting, malty base is balanced with a subtle flavour of Saaz hops.
