Kings Head

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV in Holt.

Welcome to our Pub! The Kings Head is a Grade II listed traditional coaching inn. One of Holt's oldest buildings the pub has been supplying hospitality to locals and visitors of the town for more than 100 years.

We took over the reins in June 2008. Our vision clear - provide a great local pub supplying home cooked, great value food, and a well kept cellar featuring superb real ales. Refurbishment was needed, and we made improvements to the pub in January 2009 creating a new bar, improved beer garden, new kitchen for the chefs, 3 Bedrooms for B&B and decoration throughout.

Our work on the pub's product continues. 6 real ales in cracking condition, sourced in the main, from small local breweries. The food has gained a strong following. Great local ingredients, cooked simply in a pub style, provided at a great price.
Pies made from scratch, burgers pressed on the premises, proper chips, our own desserts, some great pub classics and a passion for the grill section where we source meat direct from a local farmer and butcher it on site to bring you fantastic quality at a great price.

We are a pub, not one of those gastro thingys! Therefore, entertainment and your permission to have a great time are important to us. We have games, a live music program on the last Saturday of each month, and a general lighthearted easygoing way about how we do things.

If you like what we do, please tell others. If not, please let us know and we will put matters right!!

We look forward to seeing you soon..

Adnams Broadside 4.7 Adnams

Brewed with East Anglian malted barley and First Gold hops, Broadside is a dark ruby red beer, rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds and conserved fruit. Broadside has been a firm favourite among Adnams beers for many years now. Originally brewed to commemorate the Battle of Sole Bay, fought over 300 years ago off the coast of Southwold, it’s since earned a special place in beer drinkers’ hearts.

Adnams Southwold Bitter 3.7 Adnams

Southwold Bitter is a beautiful copper-coloured beer, late and dry-hopped with Fuggles for a distinctive, lingering hoppiness. Brewed with the finest East Anglian Pale Ale malt barley, sourced locally to the brewery. We use Fuggles hops which we add late in the boil to preserve the herbal flavours of this traditional English hop. We add more Fuggles to each cask so that the flavour of the hops infuses into the beer. It’s a perfect 3.7% abv in cask and 4.1% abv in bottle and can.

Wherry 3.8 Woodforde's Brewery - DUPLICATE

Light but full of flavour and with a delicious citrus aftertaste. Great with Norfolk Ham and Turkey or on its own.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and zesty with crisp floral flavours. A background of sweet malt and a hoppy ‘grapefruit’ bitter finish characterises this champion bitter.
