LOST was founded in 1979 at the London Oratory School as its after-school theatre club; hence its name - L.O.S.T. It grew in popularity so quickly that in 1982 a new home was found on Fulham Broadway. This wonderful 100 seat black box was host to over 100 plays and Festivals for the next 17 years until re-development of the area forced the company to look for a new home. During the next 10 years LOST was an itinerant company hiring other theatre spaces in order to continue its work whilst branching out into Europe taking shows to Spain and Russia. In 2004 negotiations started on its present home (208 Wandsworth Road). This building opened in January 2010, allowing LOST to establish roots in a new part of London.
During its sojourn in Fulham LOST was able to introduce Ralph Fiennes, Mackenzie Crook and Dennis Kelly to the world of theatre. Alongside them many actors, directors and writers owe their start in theatre to LOST.
