Masons Arms

A child friendly pub serving food in Bury St. Edmunds.

A warm welcome from Sean, Gary and the rest of the gang! Thanks for dropping by – we’re really pleased that you’re interested in our pub.

If you are a new customer or one that hasn’t been in for a while (shame on you), then you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve just re-opened after a major refurbishment. Which means the Masons is now the smartest pub in town.

We’re definitely not one of those bland chain pubs that gives you a grim pint and a plateful of plastic to eat. Our business is all about proper beer and authentic food, served in a historic pub that’s on Whiting Street, right at the centre of one of the oldest parts of Bury St Edmunds. In fact Greene King is so proud of the Masons that they have made us their official flagship pub.

As soon as you walk through the door, you know that we’re serious about beer. The glass floor shows our beer stillage so you can see how well we care for your pint from barrel to bar. There’s a range of 9 real ales and usually 2 guest beers as well. And over the next few months, look out for our exclusive beers that you won’t find anywhere else!

We take pride in sourcing local, fresh ingredients that go into our homemade food. And we’re keen to keep prices affordable for everybody. Our kitchen team has produced a bar menu, a Specials menu and good old traditional Sunday roasts.
